In Loving Memory of Mitzi and Jack Lane

JACK and MITZI LANE Two special people have left this earth, now embraced by open arms at Heaven's Door. Each implanted their mark upon us all in their own way: Mitzi Lane left us first on January 24, 2008, but not without having shared a lifetime of endearing care and unforgettable embraces for each person she met. Giving of thoughtful items, love and kind acts, she was a treasure to dear friends and even more so to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Never to be forgotten.

On April 2, 2009 Jack Lane imparted an everlasting legacy. Not only was he our dad, he was the Hollywood Brown Derby's caricaturist for 37 years, starting in 1948 until its closing. His talent for drawing faces was coupled with an even greater gift of gab. In the 20 minutes it took to draw someone, his engaging personality encouraged anyone to share a lifetime's worth of stories. Drawing and penning books to his final day of 92 years, he accomplished a self-professed "full life."

They will be missed by many but more importantly were loved by all, including their family. We thank you all for sharing in their long journey together as husband and wife for 61 years which was a gift unto itself!
